I took this shot near he Vile Parle signal on the Western Express Highway.
The flyovers near this area on the Western Express Highway have been going through an endless makeover. The initial idea was to make a mall below this flyover, which as the rumors (if they are) say that has been called off. Next I heard that there was a huge parking area being constructed below the flyover...which after a few months again I heard fizzled out. Some work being done is surely being seen...what it is, I don't know and I'm sure many of us would be wondering about the same.
I wonder what the workers working for such construction areas must be going through. I tried capturing one such worker during his free time perhaps! He was aimlessly (as he seemed, but surely not as aimless as he looked) staring at the vehicles coming and stopping at the traffic signal next to which he was seated. I am curious, now, to think what he must be thinking...what he must be waiting for...
For the wait...

Mumbai is under the worst terror attack India has ever seen!
The most iconic structures in Mumbai-The Taj Mahal Palace and The Oberoi Trident were taken over by the terrorists alongwith Nariman House-an Israeli hub!
The terrorists just opened fire randomly and it was clear that they intended to cause as much damage as they could!
Everyone in Mumbai is glued to their TV sets from the past 48 hours, trying to get as much information as possible.
There have been heart-wrenching stories we hear as the National Security Guard is leading the rescue operation from the front!
I salute the NSG, the Army, the Mumbai Police Force for their unrelenting efforts to save this city and its people from this unfortunate incident!
The most important feeling here that is being reverberated throughout the city is anger against such happenings and the repeated realization of the lack of crisis management of any sort!People here do not want to be called as 'resilient'(as they are often called after any such attack) and do not want any salutes to the so-called 'Mumbai Spirit' but want some effective measures to be put in place and necessary action to be taken! We want no blame game..we want everyone to learn a lesson and contribute in every way towards the safety and security of our beloved city!Everything else is irrelevant..it doesn't matter who forms the government, it doesn't matter who is the Prime Minister..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Maithili: thank you for checking in. I have been worried about the Bombay Clicks family as well as everyone in your beloved city and send my thoughts and prayers to all of you. I wish I had more to offer.
Rahul is currently out of town for some work!and i was also so taken aback my the whole sequence of events...din't know what to do and what to say!! the situation is terrible! The human cost is too high!Stories of the human tragedy are sooooo heart wrenching, its difficult to listen, difficult to sleep! My heart goes out to all families who have fallen victim to this cruel act!May God be with everyone of them and give them the strength!
Maithili, I'm sure somebody is hearing all of this, and I'm sure somebody will not take what has got us into this, for sure!
I really wonder what to say too..as words CANNOT express this.
All I would say is - this is NOT FAIR! And, if there is GOD, he better answer this...he surely owes an explanation...
Rose,
I'm really sorry for not responding earlier. I was in Delhi, as I mentioned earlier. Just got back today morning. Yes, our family and friends are all fine...but when I write this I wonder if that is true...this city is the one where every individual feels related to another...and in that case, I surely don't feel alright...
