travelers

I took this shot at the main road of Saki Naka. I wanted to take many shots but was surrounded with traffic from all sides and couldn't get a parking to stop the car and start clicking. I clicked this one though.
Imagine, 6:15pm onwards, in this city, its pointless to travel on the streets, people would say, due to the traffic! There is hardly any place for foots to step ahead. And, the public transport is a sight worth watching at such times. The buses are PACKED with humans. This shot taken would still consider the bus to be "pretty empty" as far as how crowded it was! But, if you ask me..honestly, there is a beauty in this crowded packed traffic! Emotions are weird...these faces meet the peak of frustrations during travel hours...but once they reach their nest and rest for a while, they feel sync with themselves again. As, I insist...this city has something magical about it, for sure!

For the roads, the paths traveled everyday, and the travelers...

P.S. - I am really sorry for posting this shot a bit late. I'm caught up with LOADS of things on the college front and thus, get a bit delayed with the postings. Sorry...

Btw, we're 1 week old!

survival

Just continuing in series with the previous shot.
I love this image somehow...Really, after an eventful day, watching the sun take its seat and the waves accompanying him with their orchestra, gives you a melody that can only make you smile. Days have its highs and lows...tides come and go...but the sea remains, doesn't it?

For the spirit of survival...

a city of people

Everytime I drive the reclamation patch, I speed above 90!
I love to look out of my window and see this city of ours stand there across the sea
waiting for people to come and dream further,
to think bigger than what they can think of thinking,
to accept ambitions that have no limit,
to find the real "you" which is way deeper and stronger than what you claim yourself to be.

This place gives me that high and makes me walk ahead of the line without worrying of boundaries and restrictions...and tells me, "go...search...explore!"

a quick bite

Just a random shot taken. We were at Candies, Pali (one of my favorite hang outs) and Maithili took this shot today. We simply love this place. It has got a different feel to it completely...and somehow, I just start getting all new wacky ideas here! Ok...hang on for a bit more on that!

This was the table next to us...they wasted enough food that could've been a meal for a beggar outside. But, well, life is weird in its own ways! Had we been a little considerate and imbibed our thoughts in reality, maybe the picture in the frame would have a different meaning altogether! But, I even know that tomorrow the traffic will again hit the roads and these thoughts would drain out...

Truly, life is weird in its own ways! Confused?

headlines today

If you are wondering rightly, great!
These aren't randomly collected newspapers, but is today's edition of a leading newspaper. Guess what I observed...this section/area of EACH page is given out for ads. If the total space for ads is summed up, probably it'll turn out to a bundle of meaningful leaflets...I'm talking here only about the space...really wouldn't dare to start calculating the costs and the logistics paid to the news-tellers these days to print the world.

Truly, money's head lines today!

unknown spirit

What does one look for in a mirror? Is it someone one wants to become like or just accept what one is?
As I was checking some of the shots taken, at the signal, these 3 kids got excited to see a camera in my hand.
As I write on them, I wonder...
the young girl seems to be a bit frightened to see what this device is which looks into her,
the second kid from the left knows what this camera does and seems to feel like a mini-hero but wants it to be a perfect shot,
the third kid just wants to be himself and seems like wanting to just enjoy the moment,
as their aunt/mom seems to smile by just seeing her kids enjoy the second long fame!

Bombay does have a strange spirit that sees no barriers, language, caste, words, expressions...

the chain of smiles

The sunset at the Juhu Beach has always been an inspiration to every lens.
My friend, Shazeen, didn't want to miss the moment where 3 friends forget the lives they were living, for a few moments, that they would get back to once the sun sets down.
Honestly tell me,
doesn't life smile innocently when you see others smile...

for the city & its spirit

"This is the city...
where time doesn't still,
where people live their will,
where dreams breathe the hearts,
where money stalks the charts,
where nothing is out of reach,
where life will itself learn and teach..."

"Bombay Talking" is simply an adaptation of an idea that has impressed me till no limits. Hope, I live up to the thought.

For the city & its spirit...
