wait

...and it is the last day of the year!

Everybody waits for the 31st of this month and celebrates the year's end and welcomes the next. I took this shot at the Eastern Express Highway today as I was traveling to Thane to have dinner with my friends. Everybody here were traveling somewhere or the other to celebrate the last few hours of the last day of the year!

The long wait gets over today when one wants to start the new year freshly with new smiles, new dreams, new desires, new ambitions and hopes to achieve all the success that was pending or paused in this year!

Today, on behalf of the entire Bombay Clicks team, I wish you a very happy, safe, and successful happy new year, filled with smiles!! Do spread the joy that every individual deserves to experience...

With loads of love and hugs,

For the wait to start afresh...

jail

I took this shot today, as I was getting back from an appointment, at Mahalaxmi. This is the exterior of the Arthur Road Jail.

Built in 1926, the Arthur Road Jail is India's oldest and largest prison. It is the house for most of the city's prisoners. It is located near the Saat Rasta, which is between the Mahalaxmi and the Chichpokli railway stations in the southern part of the city. It was upgraded in 1994 to become a Central Prison and its official name is Bombay Central Prison. But, for the people of Mumbai, the heavily-guarded prison has always been known as Arthur Road Jail.

The jail was built to accommodate 1074 prisoners but the average number of inmates is generally over 3,000—far exceeding its capacity in terms of space, sanitation and other facilities.

A few decades ago, this prison was one of the most feared in India, because of the treatment prisoners received from the inmate overseers. The cells were overcrowded and the prisoners had to sleep on blankets infested with lice. They were allowed to wash each day, but the ratio of water was very little. If they stood up against the overseers they were punished in terrible ways.

Somehow, it has always been a wish to film a prisoner in this Jail or document somebody who walks in and out of this space. I've always wanted to interact with a few prisoners and understand why they did/do what they did/do...

For this jail and all the history...

PS - I'm curious to know whether you guys are for life imprisonment or capital punishment?

pace

I took this shot at the Gandhinagar junction near the Vikroli-Kanjur Marg path.

Somehow, this habit of people always amazes me. When they know that they can sit, when they know that they should sit, they would still defy it all and hang out of the bus at its entrance! I can somehow understand the need to hang out of the bus when it is crowded, but surely not when one does so as you can see here. And, what more - these two individuals who, according to the rules are supposed to exit from the other end, made it a point to get off the bus from this side! I love this behavior of humans to go against what should be done and create their own rules...but yes, I also just wish we could use these skills at the right places!

I wonder the need to be in this pace to get off certain things and get on to a few others and continuing the cycle, till we pause...just to realize that we need more...

For the pace...

chandeliers

I happened to go the Royal Palms Hotel today, which is located near the Aarey Milk Colony area of the city. To be very honest, I had heard a LOT about this hotel but it was nowhere close to my expectations. To be honest, it was a complete put off.

I took this shot at the lobby of one of the wings of the Hotel. This huge chandelier was placed at the centre of the lobby with these lovely flowers right below it. I completely love all kinds of chandeliers and having been with my Mom for so many years during her shoppings, I have somehow created an eye for good chandeliers, as she knows exactly which kind of a chandelier would suit which space!

Today's post is more about how disappointed I am considering a lovely space like this being wasted due to lack of good service and ambience! And, what more can go wrong when I realized that the chandelier looked a bit out of place too after a while, considering the space's dimensions and vibe!

For the chandeliers and hoping that the light sparks up the place a bit...

worship

I took this shot as I was passing by Matunga today. This temple, among many others in this area, caught my attention and I quickly got out of my car to take a quick shot! Matunga is very famous for its South-Indian temples. It also has a very large population of South Indians (especially from Tamil Nadu) residing here and thus is also known as "mini-Madras". Matunga boasts of a number of South Indian style temples along with a number of street shops selling coffee and flowers which adds to the South Indian feel.

Matunga formed a part of the seven original islands of the city with Mahim (then known as Mahikavati). Mahim, or Mahikawati as it was known, was the capital of Raja Bhimdev, who reigned over the region in the 13th century. Raja Bhimdev's origins are not clearly known. He may have come from Anahilwada-Patan in Gujarat or from the dynasty of Yadavs in Deogiri. He built a palace and a court of justice in Prabhadevi, as well as the first Babulnath temple. Raja Bhimdev stationed his elephant cavalry near Mahim. This place was referred to as Matanga (Sanskrit for Elephants) which later became "Matunga".

I love to learn more about such history. Imagine, something must've been so powerful that it has had an impact on generations to motivate the people to still come to such places of worship to meet the divine...

For the worship and it's life...

lights

I love to shoot with lights...in lights...or simply, lights!

Festivals light up spaces...and what makes me smile a few days post the festival dates are that the lights still remain. Post Christmas, the lights continue to light up this house, which is unknown to me!
What prompted me to take this shot was the set up of Jesus and Mother Mary and the entire silent night, holy night...
What excited me to take this shot was the smile on every person's face who was passing by this house and seeing these lights glow...

This is what amazes me the most about lights - we need them to glow up spaces...and when present, we tend to get focussed on the lights' intensity and say, "we can't see what's there"...

Looking forward to the last few days of this year...and hoping that the smiles continue to get lit throughout the coming years too...

For lights...

merry christmas:)

...and we wish you a very Merry Christmas!!

I took this shot a little post midnight at a church near my house, which hardly has any funds left to run it, but has still remained intact at such times. It is amazing to see how festivals and togetherness of people can give rise to celebrations, despite circumstances and compelling situations! For all the readers, viewers, and visitors who are a part of our journey and who are yet to be a part but would be someday - celebrate life!!

For celebrations...

holidays

Holidays have knocked on the doors again! And, people seem to be loving it although they want to keep it low profile! I think what makes them love the holidays are the thoughts of people to forget everything and try to love all around them...

I took this shot at the CO's Bowling Company, the city's first bowling alley that was started around ten-twelve years ago! Bowling has always been a stress-buster for many and one would always find these lanes filled with youth, college students, parents with their kids etc...
I personally love to go bowling too purely for the time that friends get to share with each other! Somehow, when you go to a place like this, you tend to become a kid again and relive those times when you get excited at every hit that you achieve and sulk at every miss but yet keep smiling...

I just wish these smiles that the holidays have got get paused for long...

For the holidays and the smiles...

successful;-)

I recently posted the Christmas decoration at one of the malls at Andheri. While I was going to take the top-view image of the mall, the security guards stopped me and told me that I wasn't allowed to take photographs. But, I'm pretty demanding when it comes to my wishes!;-)

I went back to the mall today and clicked this with my cell phone! I know I shouldn't have done this but I really wanted to share these huge circles with you! Christmas is just around the corner...and I'm sure we're all looking forward to a new year filled with joy, love, and peace...

Thus, today, I'd simply just pray for the same...

For the successful photo clicking...

dadar

I happened to pass the Dadar Station today (no, not by train but by road). I had never observed the re-done exterior of the station and the board! Ok, for all the regular-commuters traveling by train, please don't wonder what has been re-done...I just happened to pass by the western side of the station after around four years now!

I normally never take this route and today when I did, I had to take a shot of how these letters stood out completely from the flyover! Dadar has been a transit point between the western and the central railway lines and is also the most busiest railway station in the city! Not many know that the Dadar-Matunga-Wadala-Sion scheme was planned as early as 1899-1900! The plan was formulated by the City Improvement Trust in order to relieve congestion in the centre of the town, following the plague epidemics of the 1890s.

The plans regulated constructions with emphasis on proper sanitation. No building was to be more than three storeys high, and the buildings were to have open spaces between them. The land-use was planned to be a mix of residential, commercial and institutional constructions. Parks and gardens were planned, and the streets were well laid out.

440 acres (1.8 km²) of land was procured and leased to the Government for selling. For the first time housing cooperatives were formed to take advantage of newly developed land. The Parsi and Hindu colonies in Dadar and the Tamil colony in Matunga were developed in this way.

Filled with history, somehow, this place is one of the many that always makes me wonder about the city's history...and how it would be years later...

For Dadar...

countdown

...and it is coming again!! I love this time of the year! It reminds me of the lights that make the city glow during Diwali! Yes, Christmas is coming...and the city continues to get lit and shine...

I took this shot at one of the malls at Andheri. This decoration was attached to the ceiling of the mall and was really looking very impressive. I wanted to take a top-view shot of the same but the security guards noticed it and asked me to switch off my camera, as taking shots weren't allowed. I shouldn't mention this but I'll try taking one again, soon...;-)

Do let us know what are your plans for Christmas! I'm tied up very badly these days else I wanted to do something similar to what we did during Diwali! Here is an idea - how about going out tomorrow and randomly being kind to people anonymously? If you see somebody at your subway, how about just gifting him/her a small box of cookies or chocolates with a smiley on it! Or, if your neighbors or friends wish for something very intensely, how about gifting it to them anonymously with a smiley? Try it out...I'm sure Christmas and Santa Claus will both be happy...

For the countdown...

PS - Sorry for the delay in posting. The internet has been bad since 2 days...

parcel

This shot was taken by Sukruta.
This parcel had come by registered post and was very well taped by the sender as this contained some very important documents! However, by the time it reached Sukruta's colleague, it was in this condition!

I don't say we need to take responsibility of other's things and need to always take care of it as though it was our's...but I guess we could do our jobs with sincerity?

Oh, and not to forget, the postman who delivers this never forgets to come to take his salary-bonus during the festivals!

For the parcels and the sleeping sincerity...

performance

I love theatre! It gives me a high! Right from the first time I stood in front of an audience in school and did not credit for my muted role to the first time I stood on the stage of Prithvi Theatre after a show was over, facing empty seats...it always gave me a high! I love performances...and a little secret that I'd like to share today - I even LOVE performing! Standing on the stage in front of the audience has always taken me to a world of happiness!

I took this shot at Carter Rd, again! This is the open-air amphi-theatre that is located here. Many a times, you can see street-play performances happening here. During the Bandra Festival that happens annually, you can attend the musical concerts that happen here by upcoming local bands! And on normal days, it is a play-ground for kids and a discussion-hub for a few others. For me, it is a reason to smile...simply because of what it is!

I do realize that this world in which we reside is a stage and we're all actors enacting the beautiful script called life...and what amazes me the most is that we're the makers of this production!

I want to get back to theatre again, sometime...soon, hopefully!

For the stage and the performances...

sea

I love spending time in front of the sea! I took this shot at one of my favorite spots in the city - Carter Rd. The city is pretty hot these days in the afternoons but once the evenings settle down, its a time worth going out for a walk!

I love the sea. I love walking on beaches...leaving my footprints on the sand. I feel it is here where all footprints from various people merge into sand again...just like how humans merge into humanity...

For the sea and the lovely walks...

jodi

Ok, I know that I am completely anti-piracy but I simply love this on-screen jodi (couple)...just like all Hindi film-lovers do! I took this shot today while I was watching "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" (God made the couple)! Well, I know ideally, this doesn't symbolize the film at all, but when I saw Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol together on screen, I couldn't stop clicking them! There is surely something about these two co-actors that lights up the screen when seen together! No wonder the entire crowd in the theater started whistling when they saw them together!

In this country and specially in this city, which is known to be the heart of the Hindi Film Industry, films are undoubtedly a part of every person's life! In fact, many people in the city are also crazy about the film stars, which serves to be a BIG reason for the box-office revenues! And, Shah Rukh Khan & Kajol need no introduction! They are undoubtedly the best! Initially, I wasn't a big fan of this guy although I always used to admire him as a person...but once I saw him enact his character in "Dil Se", he was and is rated as one of my favorite actors! As for Kajol, she is beautiful and intense...period! They stopped doing films together for a while but the good news is that they are coming back in a film very soon and I'm sure all of us are very much awaiting that! I guess today's post is sounding more like a film gossip column...but well, what the heck...we love them, don't we?!;-)

For the on-screen favorite jodi...

PS - Today, do mention to us about your favorite on-screen 'jodi'!!

GAP

I took this shot today as I was getting back home from Ghatkopar. Apparently, this tree (the third in a row) has been lying on the road since four days and nobody has done anything about it! I was furious to hear that, but what calmed me down was that three residents from the neighboring locality had lodged a complaint to the BMC and the Police regarding this, about three days ago. Apparently, tomorrow the BMC would be here to clean this up! It's a bit depressing and weird that the government needs so much of time to solve simple matters like these but what's really impressive and delightful is that the citizens are waking up!

Talking of that, I must mention about a brilliant initiative that our friend, Harish, has started - GAP (No, I'm not talking about my favorite brand, for a change)! The Group Altruism Proactive is an initiative to collate likeminded selfless people to be available to help in times of crisis (to begin with) in Bombay(Mumbai), New Bombay (Navi Mumbai) and Thane.

I'm glad that FINALLY people are standing up and actually being the change rather than just talking of change!! I guess this is exactly what we need for making this global space a better place to reside in!

I liked what Harish has said in his introductory writeup -
It’s inane and futile to “merely” wag your tongue and scream off your lung.
You see the gaps in government services. Don’t you?
Here is a chance for you to bridge it.
Join the GAP (Group Altruism Proactive)!

For GAP, Harish, and tons of others doing brilliant work...

lighting a smile

On October 26th, we had introduced you to a brief suspense...today we unveil the canvas...

I keep saying that it isn't really that difficult to spread smiles...to understand peace...to realize love! Today, I'm sharing with you an attempt that a few of us had made to prove the above!

...so we decided to chip in a bit of money and purchase around 150 diyas. The idea was simple - distribute diyas to random people of the city and wish them Happy Diwali! The idea is not new or innovative...but I guess the experience, for us, was fresh!
The charity focus fan that I'm becoming off late, I knew something of this kind was taking me towards it...and now, I completely agree to the fact that you cannot feel any better or content than experiencing and being a part of such small, simple random acts of kindness!

We finished buying all the diyas by the 25th night and we knew we wanted to start by the early morning. We couldn't wait to get the fun started...and when it did, there was no stopping! Right from the start to the end, all the people who were gifted diyas couldn't understand what was happening but one thing was sure...they smiled and felt good!
Yes, there were many fun filled moments too like when Akash went to one of the ladies and gifted her a diya, she said "she doesn't have money and didn't want to purchase it"! When he told her that it was a gift from him to her, she got all the more furious and asked him, "WHY?"...he simply smiled and said, "Happy Diwali, Aunty"...It was a minute later that she looked at the diya and couldn't stop smiling there after!
Also, another moment I have to share with you is the point, as seen in the video too, when these two gentlemen were arguing intensely over some stock market issue...the argument was heating up and just then, Vishal walked up to them and gifted them a diya each...I won't mention what happened post that...;-)

It is truly so beautiful to just know the people who live with you in your city and surroundings...it is so beautiful to know that people started their days with a smile...it is so beautiful to simply love...

Although this initiative was taken up a month before the terror attacks, I think now is the right time to put it up, so that we can learn to smile and spread love more often...try it, it is worth life...

For lighting smiles and love...

PS - The 4:30am time clicked on the 26th of October was the time when we had entered the Churchgate station to distribute diyas to commuters and record the same on video, when a Police constable caught us and said we had to go to the Railway Police Station as we didn't have permissions to shoot! We were taken to the Police Inspectors, who had just gotten up from their sleep! They interrogated us a bit and were unwilling to understand what we were trying to do! Akash was made to delete the footage we took at the station as they kept insisting, "you need permission". Well, I appreciate them doing their work, but didn't really appreciate the way they were treating us. But, I loved us gifting them a diya too before leaving and asking them, "do we need permission for this too?" ;-)

stand by me

When I took this shot today, I had a totally different theme in mind for this shot but it's now nowhere close to what I had thought...and I feel lovely about it. There are no co-incidences in life...there are only signals from above! I believe that this is one of the truths of life...

I took this shot switching off the flash and standing on the divider of the road as the headlights of the vehicles were making their way to composite this shot. When I got home and was about to post this, I received an email from my favorite weekly delight - Karma Tube! They sent us their video of the week- "stand by me"

When I look at this shot now, it does seem to me as though these blurred headlights that have composited this frame, are rushing their way to give birth to a bright light by becoming one!
Oneness is such a lovely feeling to realize...and trust me, the day you realize that you and I are one, you will find me standing by you...

For stand by me...

PS - Please watch the video...trust me, you will not repent it!!

3-tyre

I know we've had the Auto Rickshaw a few times earlier as the posts for the day but I really can't help it...I love these 3-tyred vehicles! They give me a feeling of togetherness...a feeling that tells me that I'm a part of this city...

I'll keep it short today...I took this shot as I was getting back home. This rickshaw driver, though, was wondering what I was up to and once he realized I was clicking him (almost), he started telling me about the times when he wanted to try his luck in the film industry but till date hasn't succeeded. But, his dreams are still not dead, he insisted...

Dreams and wheels keep traveling...no matter how many stops they take...

For the 3-tyred love of the city...

gol-guppas

...I can't live without these...especially from this chaat-store! This shot was taken at the Prashant Chaat Corner, Thane today.

The Prashant Corner started off about 7 years ago as a really small one-room shop. However, today, it has grown to have multiple branches in various parts of Thane! The Corner was always famous for its sweets, but since a few years, it has become one of the famous stops for having delicious Chaats! I personally LOVE the pani-puris aka the gol-guppas here followed by the sukha puri!! What one can observe while standing outside this corner is how it attracts the people passing by! Even if one doesn't have any plans to stop by and eat something, there is something about this place that simply attracts you...I guess, that's how I had my second plate...

For Prashant's gol-guppas...

sleep

I took this shot today at my college campus in Vidyavihar! This is one of the entrances to the student's hostel of the K.J.Somaiya College of Engineering.

I'm not really fond of animals but this sight of these four animals sleeping in symmetry just made me click them. Talking of sleep, I guess our visitors are also sleeping? Alexa, Rose...where are you guys?

Back to work...although how I wish I could be sleeping now...

For sleep...

love

I took this shot today, at Galleria, the shopping arcade at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai. What amazed me were these pigeons who were hardly bothered about any of the other birds around, any of the other humans around...to cut it short, they were hardly bothered about anything except themselves!

Love does take you to that stage, doesn't it? It takes you to a world where nothing really matters...where there are no meanings...where there are no restrictions...no boundaries...no limits...nothing to achieve, nothing to lose...nothing to hide, nothing to reveal...but yet, the same love makes sure that you realize that it is only in love that you can smile with the same person who can make you cry...

Today, somebody asked me what does love means? I replied saying one really doesn't know what love means when you know you love a person...because, you go beyond meanings of words and realize some explainable feelings in silence...

For love, the most amazing feeling that one can ever be a part of...

tumhari amrita

Every person has his set of dreams and wishes that keep increasing. However long the list might go, one always remembers his wishes and dreams that he had been introduced to earlier in life. And, you always crave for fulfilling those. One such childhood wish of mine was fulfilled today, all thanks to Maithili!!

"Tumhari Amrita" (Yours Amrita) has been being staged since 1992. Inspired by A.R.Guerney's "Love Letters", "Tumhari Amrita" is a funny, poignant, melancholic chronicle of two people who would not come together but at the same time could not stay apart too. A love story told through the exchange of love letters spanning 35 years between two people from very different backgrounds. A tale of universal tragedy of lovers, torn apart by destiny. A relationship between two articulate individuals, Zulfikar Hyder (enacted by Farooque Shaikh) and Amrita Nigam (enacted by Shabana Azmi), who are engaged in constantly shifting priorities.

"Tumhari Amrita", is a new form of theatrical presentation, written and adapted in Hindi/Urdu by the brilliant playwright, Javed Siddiqui, and directed by the intelligently talented, Feroz Khan!

I have been wanting to watch this play right since 1999 (ever since I took up theatre and films seriously). But, every time, I got to watch all the other earlier brilliant plays in their re-runs, "Tumhari Amrita" somehow always got missed! The last show of "Tumhari Amrita" happened in 2003, when I had missed it again. And, I was really disheartened considering the fact that it might not get staged ever again. I don't know what fate had in mind, and this play got staged again for an invited audience earlier last month. I had taken the liberty to ask Farooqueji for passes, as we had worked with him during the "I am the CHANGE" Film Project, where he was one of the mentors. But, he couldn't arrange any of the passes as they were being given out completely by the organizers. As fate had something more in mind, this play was to be staged for the general public too and our dear rock-star, Maithili, actually went ahead and booked the tickets for the play on the first day that the box-office started giving out the passes! Thanks, Maithili...I'll always remember this gesture! However, I really feel bad that you couldn't make it today...but I'm sure we'll be catching this play again, along with the sequel too!!

After the play got done, I quickly text Farooqueji saying that this is one of the most brilliant plays that I have seen since long and one of my life's wishes were fulfilled today. As, I was waiting at the parking area to let all the cars clear the traffic, I was discussing about the play with Vishal, who accompanied me on Maithili's pass! And, once the traffic got cleared, I decided to drive out of the parking area and as we were about to leave, we saw Farooqueji standing there and talking to somebody. I waved out to him and he smiled and waved back. I stopped the car and went to him and he smiled and said, "I'm glad you could catch the play this time"...and guess what...Vishal and I actually got to drive him back to his home!! This would surely be one of my best wish-come-true moments!!

I pity all those who missed this play and also envy all those who have seen this play more than once! I really loved today...thanks, Maithili for making it possible! Trust me, I promise, you too will get to see this play...soon...

For "Tumhari Amrita"...

spaces

The local trains and the stations of this city are not new to Bombay Clicks anymore. I don't really travel by them on a daily basis but I do know that this is undoubtedly one of the important faces of the city!

The city's suburban railways and the Indian railways are an offshoot of the first railways built by the British in India way back in 1853! This was also the oldest railway system in Asia! The first train ran between the city and Thane, a distance of approximately 34kms. Given the geographical spread of the population and location of business areas, the rail network is the principal mode of mass transport in Mumbai.

This shot was taken by Maithili at the Thane station! I really wonder how this would've looked way back in the 1850s, when the first clash between the Indians and the British began. It's really interesting to wonder how this space where you are standing must've been years ago when two other feet were resting on the same area...and how it would be when hopefully two other feet would be residing where you are now...

For the spaces that we use to live...

peace

This shot was taken by Vishal at the Peace March that was organized at the Gateway of India outside the Taj, yesterday.

I'm sure the media and the city did not expect so many individuals to come out on the streets to express their anger and agitation against what all happened! The expected crowd was around 400-500 but the number of people who turned up was easily around 3-4lakhs!!! I was discussing this with another colleague of mine and she said that it has reached the limit. The city was resilient enough earlier but it won't anymore. It will not tolerate any such acts when it comes to its prestige - it's people's lives!

It didn't really turn out to be a peace march but yes, I'm sure all the anger and the agitation was to have peace! It's lovely to see people unite and understand oneness. I only wish we didn't have such incidents and events to help people realize this...

For peace...

names

...and we complete a week since the terrorists introduced this city to their bullets and firings! It's been a week and people are not at all willing to forget what happened. The agitation and anger against the politicians and others who are being blamed is just increasing with every moment. A few of the "leaders" from the Congress have been resigning since Sunday. A few new names will get added to the list. Some have gone, some will come...

I took this shot at the Gateway of India. This board has the name of our city written in Hindi. This serves as one of the entrances to the city...entrances for all, that welcomes. I guess this welcomed the terrorists too with a smile, not knowing they would shoot the smiles of many.

Honestly, I really don't care now which name becomes our "leader" and which name walks out of the list. I do know that there are 175+ names there on the list of people who lost their lives, hundreds others who were injured, and a million+ who were affected! Let's try to not add any further names to the lists...?

For the names...

200th

...and we're 200 shots old, today!

It's strange how time passes so quickly. Today, as I was passing Bandra, I thought of quickly grabbing a bite at one of my favorite restaurants - Candies! Candies has 3 branches in Bandra itself - one at Reclamation (this one), one at Pali Hill, and one at Union Park! Reminding you of a French Café, this place has some outstandingly delicious edibles too. If you happen to go here over the weekends, or sometime in the evenings too, you are bound to catch a glimpse of either some TV star or at times, a film actor/personality, or any other famous face. I love this place for the sheer ambiance and the delicious food. I've been wanting to post Candies since a really long time, right from the time Bombay Clicks (or rather Bombay Talking) started...but somehow everyday, it got a miss! I guess it was just waiting for a good moment...thus, today it is...

For the 200th post, and trillions more to come...

unspoken

I just took this shot right now, after making this out of all the paper cuttings that I've been taking of from the newspapers since the 27th...

Newspapers have been writing and covering all that has been happening since the horrifying moments unveiled themselves. I wonder what the journalists must've gone through while penning the seconds and the events that were playing. For once, I truly wonder if words would've felt shameful to have been used. Can words really explain what the city had gone through? Can the inks really note down a count of breaths that had paused, stopped, left?
Can anybody really tell me...is it that difficult to avoid arising such moments? Is it that difficult to forget what peace is? Is it that difficult to love?

For all that has been said, and all that will always remain unspoken...
