
I took this shot at Mahim today. What amazed me the best about this was the look of the wall and the feel that this frame was depicting.
I don't know why but it somehow reminded me of the photographs and visuals that I have seen of the India and the houses that used to be here in the Independence period. Small houses in places like Punjab, or villages of any state used to have houses with such walls and a cycle, like this, for the head of the family to travel to his farms or other work place.
Many say that we could've prospered better under the British rule...my question to them is - have you prospered under your own rule?
Our cycles await our travels, journeys, expeditions; our walls await the colors; and our ladders await us reaching the heights of the top...
What are we waiting for?
For us, the country ourselves...

Really? People think India would have done better under the Brits? I had no idea anyone thought that.

Now I just want to say that I think this photo is absolutely stunning—the colors, the composition, everything. I like it a LOT.
