This shot was taken by Maithili at the Matunga station, today. I love this shot, simply because of what it depicts. It's probably one of the few times when I've seen a girl weighing herself in public. Now tell me, how many times would one get to watch something like this?
These weighing machines used to excite me when I was a kid...primarily because at the end of the few seconds, the small card that comes out of the machine has your weight along with your so-called horoscope! I've stopped using such things since many years now...but it's so glad to see somebody use it even now!

Seriously Rahul it used to be fun..other then card, it was als that colourful wheel that used to rotate..
Its really a rare thing to find smbody now weighing here, even most of these machines do not function..
In CA I suspect many women are weighing themselves several times a day, but yes, not in public!
If I was as slim as this girl, I might do it -- but I'm afraid all my weighing will be done in strict privacy (I don't even want my doctor to know how much weight I gained when I broke my foot this year.) Meanwhile, Maithili, here you were at the right place at the right time—with your camera. And that's how it's done!

Rahul, Looking at this machines, there is one thing to share... The other day me and my colleagues (had come to Mumbai for the first time) were at Juhu beach,saw some people standing with one weighing scale attached to a small TV. AFter u get yourself weighed, the man would on the TV and put your weight as channel. Then one Man would repeat your future, so called Bhavishyavani. And what co-incidence, in case of my friends it was somehow matching with their current situation. It was a real fun.. You happen to go netime there, do try it..
