I'm not surprised to hear that this film is still going strong there. I watched the DVD with my mother recently, and when it shows up on TV will probably see it again and again. The director's daughter was so right to point out Dev Patel—he was the perfect choice to play Jamal.
I agree Alexa, Dev was so moving in this movie, which I saw on Air France BTW! What a heartbreaking movie with such a nice ending.
